Prior to the ESPACOMP scientific meeting you can choose to attend a pre-conference educational day on Thursday October 25.
 
  • The pre-conference Adherence enhancing educational day focuses on interventions for treatment initiation, execution and persistence (An Intervention Mapping Approach).
  • The pre-conference Patient adherence and drug development educational day is organised especially for the industry involved in Phase I and II, focusing on bridging the adherence gap between use-effectiveness and method-effectiveness.
 
The scientific meeting will be held on Friday October 26 until Saturday October 27 lunch time and offers a mix of key lectures, a poster session and a panel discussion. If you choose to register for both one of the pre-conference educational days on Thursday and the scientific meeting on Friday and Saturday, we offer an interesting discount.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS


We welcome contributions from anyone wishing to present their latest adherence-related work at ESPACOMP 2012. Abstract submission deadline is June 15th, 2012.To submit an abstract, create your account and/or login in the upper right corner of the website. Click on "submit an abstract" in the upper left corner of the website. Authors will be notified about abstract acceptance after mid-July 2012.

Guidelines:

  • An abstract should not exceed 300 words.
  • All abstracts must be in English, the official language of the Conference.
  • Select the presenting author during the abstract submission. Write the author(s)' names as full names (not initials). Omit full postal address.
  • Original papers should be arranged in the following order: Background-Aim-Methods-Results-Conclusion.
  • During the submission, please indicate the preferred presentation option (oral/poster). The Scientific Committee reserves the right to change the presentation form (i. e. poster instead of oral).
  • The abstract will be reproduced in the Abstract Book exactly as submitted.
  • The abstract should not contain any tables, figures, references or acknowledgements.

TRANSPORT

By plane

Belgium is located in the heart of Europe, with Brussels as the capital of Europe. Brussels Airport (Zaventem) is the nearest international airport, located about 55 km (34 miles) to the (south)east of Ghent. Direct trains drive from Brussels Airport to Gent-Sint-Pieters (every hour (hour:51) in less than an hour. 

From international station Gent-Sint-Pieters tram 1 (direction Gent Flanders Expo) will take you to stop Gent Korte Meer in about 10 minutes (tram 1 leaves every 5 minutes). The walk from tram stop Korte Meer to the meeting venue is about 600 meters (7 minutes’ walk).

By train

You can enter two stations as destination: station Gent-Sint-Pieters1 or station Gent-Dampoort2

1 From Gent-Sint-Pieters tram 1 (direction Ghent Flanders Expo) will take you to stop Gent Korte Meer in about 10 minutes (tram 1 leaves every 5 minutes). The walk from Korte Meer to the meeting venue is about 600 meters (7 minutes’ walk). 

2 From Gent-Dampoort various buses (3, 17, 18, 38, 39, ...) stop at bus stop Gent Poel after about 10 minutes. The walk from bus stop Poel to the meeting venue is about 200 meters (4 minutes' walk). By car

The meeting venue’s address is Oude Houtlei 56. The nearest car parking facilities are Sint-Michiels (Sint-Michielsplein 8 – 9000 Gent) and Ramen (Ramen 3 – 9000 Gent) (both at €10/24h).
