Abstract

Submit your abstract for ESPACOMP 2021 here

Dear Colleague,

ESPACOMP, the annual meeting for the International Society for Medication Adherence, is the leading conference for researchers, clinicians, policy makers, and others interested in the science of medication adherence. Due to continuing concerns about the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the 25th ESPACOMP Conference will be held in an online format from November 8th to 19th 2021. This year’s ESPACOMP conference will have a special focus on Adaptability and Sustainability of Innovative Models of Care to Improve Medication Adherence

We invite you to submit an abstract here below with the findings of your latest adherence research to the ESPACOMP conference. We welcome submissions on all aspects of medication adherence research (e.g. intervention research, observational studies, implementation science, measurement studies, policy evaluation). The deadline for abstract submission is 11:59pm (CET) May 31, 2021.

All submitted abstracts will be scored by reviewers, and decisions on their acceptance will be communicated to the submitting authors by the end of July.

Due to the online format, accepted poster abstracts will be presented as small slide sets (4 slides maximum) with a recorded talk (maximum 5 minutes), rather than traditional scientific posters. Higher scoring abstracts will be selected for live oral presentation sessions. Accepted abstracts will be published in International Journal of Clinical Pharmacy.

Abstract Format:

  • Abstracts must be structured, with section headings for Aim, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion.

  • Abstracts must be limited to 250 words, including the title.

  • Abstracts are limited to a maximum of 8 authors.

  • Abstracts must adopt the ESPACOMP-endorsed ABC Taxonomy, available here

  • Authors must present in the abstract, in as much detail as space permits, information on the 4 minimum reporting criteria report according to the ESPACOMP EMERGE reporting guidelines. These are available here

Additional information about the meeting program will be posted at this website when it is available. Information can also be found on LinkedIn (in “Groups” search for “ESPACOMP’) or on Twitter (@SocMedAdherence).

The scientific and executive committees are continuing to plan the format for our online conference. Updates will be posted on the ESPACOMP website.
