The Abstracts of the 24th annual meeting of ESPACOMP have now been published in the International Journal of Clinical Pharmacy and are accessible through this link. Together, these Abstracts provide a comprehensive overview of the ‘state-of-the art research’ in medication adherence and compliance. Abstracts provided summaries of observational studies, clinical trials, systematic reviews and qualitative research. Adherence to a wide range of medications for various (chronic) conditions was studied. Furthermore, a framework was presented how to translate the ABC taxonomy of medication adherence into various languages, novel innovative statistical methods to address non-adherence in clinical trials, as well as e-health, toolkits and smart pillboxes for use in clincal practice.
